Answers To Our

Frequently Asked VA Questions

Great questions. Simple Answers. Let’s go.

How quickly can I get started?

We know that you are here because you currently have a transaction that you’d rather not do all the paperwork on, we understand! But, in order to do our jobs to the best of our ability there are a few steps that are required before we get started on your first transaction. There is a short on-boarding process to collect some of your vital information such as the software you currently use, and your login information to MLS and your software. We also collect a $99 setup fee up front. This covers account setup and ensures we have a valid payment method on file. After your transaction closes, we auto-bill your card/bank (usually the next Monday after a successful closing), and we credit the $99 toward your first completed order. To start this process, the first step is clicking one of the “Get Started” links above, filling in your details and booking a meeting with your TC!

Is there an onboarding process?

Yes! In order to serve your needs we have a quick and simple on-boarding process to collect some vital information about you and your business, including what software you use for compliance and any logins we’ll require. We also feel it’s important for you and your TC to get to know each other a bit during the initial on-boarding call as you’ll be working so closely together in the coming weeks and months.

Is there a setup fee to get started?

We collect a $99 setup fee up front. This covers account setup and ensures we have a valid payment method on file. After your transaction closes, we auto-bill your card/bank (usually the next Monday after a successful closing), and we credit the $99 toward your first completed order.

How do I pay my deposit?

We will provide you a link to pay this fee during the on-boarding process.

Do I get a dedicated TC?

AgentUp TC services operate in several regions with a TC dedicated to each region. In your region, Trish will be your primary TC and will be working on all your files as well as other files for other clients also in the Washington area. From time to time, you may also hear from AgentUp support agents that will pitch in to respond to messages and work with Trish to get you the fastest response possible.

What is included with AgentUp’s TC service?

AgentUp follows a comprehensive closing checklist that varies depending on if you are representing a buyer or seller as well as if your transaction is located in a title or attorney closing state. In every case our transaction coordination service includes communication with all parties involved, collecting signatures on all documents, tracking all essential deadlines, updating your buyer/seller throughout the transaction process, and ensuring your deal gets to the closing table, backed by our no close, no pay guarantee.

Can I have AgentUp follow my own custom closing checklist?

As a TC service serving many different clients, it's important for us to follow a straight forward and standardized process on every order in order to ensure accuracy and that we don't miss anything important. That said, if your brokerage has special requirements for compliance, we will do our best to help you with those!

Can a TC book appointments for me or manage my calendar?

The short answer is no. AgentUp TC’s cannot serve as your personal assistant or subagent on a transaction. AgentUp TCs are hired to manage the administrative and compliance side of specific transactions and cannot work for you outside the bounds of those specific parameters.

Once I hire a Transaction Coordinator, is my job done?

No! You still have a very important role to play in each of your transactions.  A transaction coordinator is hired to manage the administrative and compliance side of a transaction, but does not replace the role, responsibilities, or fiduciary duties of the licensed agent nor do they act for the agent in any capacity other than in relation to specific transactions they’ve been hired to manage. The TC’s role is limited to tracking deadlines and required documentation on a specific transaction, helping to facilitate the information flow between parties on a specific transaction, and ensuring the file stays compliant and organized. AgentUp TC’s cannot act as the primary point of contact in place of the agent on a transaction, provide legal, contractual, or strategic advice to your clients, interpret contracts or explain terms to clients, make decisions on behalf of the agent or client, nor assume fiduciary responsibility for the transaction. You will still have to communicate directly with your clients, guide clients through contracts, disclosures, and next steps, lead negotiations and decision-making, address client questions and concerns as they arise and provide representation and fiduciary oversight to your clients.

How much does transaction coordination cost?

AgentUp offers our media and marketing services to agents in every state. Currently our TC services are available in Washington, Oregon, Florida, Virginia, and Maryland.

Can I pay AgentUp out of closing?

You cannot pay AgentUp out of closing. After your transaction closes or a listing goes live, we will auto-bill the method of payment we have on file, usually on the next Monday.

Are your TC’s employees or contractors?

All AgentUp TC's are employees of AgentUp! We believe in providing full-time employment with health care to all our staff.

What is your No Close, No Pay Guarantee?

Before your very first transaction, AgentUp requires you a $99 deposit so we have a payment method on file. For every subsequent order, AgentUp will auto-bill this payment method upon your transaction closing.  If for any reason your transaction does not close, AgentUp will not bill you for that transaction.
